I started this page in memory of my late dad who was a keen player of a Wheatstone English Concertina. He jokingly said that if he has to choose between our mother and his concertina, he would choose the latter. Pa Piet had various makes of concertinas. I recall the Hohner D40 vividly. He played that one the most and I have given it to my 22 year old son, Ruan, who is a keen player of the guitar and I guessed he may follow in Oupa Piet's footsteps. I can play some keys myself but never got stuck into it. Now, moving from Portugal where we run our business from, to Namibia, in the New Year, I think I'm going to borrow Pa Piet's Concertina from Ruan and get these fingers moving.
